Annual Meeting Fulton Country Club Membership October 8, 2008 The meeting was called to order by Pres. Bielenberg. A welcome was offered to the membership. A brief summary of what had been completed for the Club was given. The shingling of the cart sheds has been completed and a new air conditioner has been put in place upstairs. The current financial statement was presented by Rich Winkel, C.P.A., Clifton Gunderson. The statement is very strong showing that income has increased and expenses have decreased. Due to the increased income it will be possible to apply $30,000.00 to the Club's current debt. The current interest rate on the present debt is 5% and the current interest rate on the C.D. Is 3.6%. Our Superintendent Josh offered his comments. Josh reports a very “slow” start to his employment. On his beginning he encountered trouble with water in the gas. “Nothing would run”. He then expressed his appreciation to Dick Thoms for ball retrieval, Bob Taylor, for flowers, and of course Jerry and Wayne. His plans for next year are to have prairie grass and flowers planted in the “no-mow areas”. The mound on #1 fairway will remain, it has been seeded, fertilized and will be kept mowed. The old bunker on the back of #7 will remain and it too will be kept mowed. Ben Ehrhart voiced that he thought that the “course looks great” and complimented Josh on his “good work”. Election Results: New Board Members are: 1. Paul Hamstra 2. Jack Utroska 3. James Hlubek Present at the meeting, including proxies, was 51. By-law changes #1 and #2 were voted on and both were passed. The nomination committee chairman for next year will be Darrell Schmidt. He will secure a committee and report that to the Board Secretary. The meeting was adjourned and a sincere “ thank you” was given by out going President Richard Bielenberg for his service to the Club. Respectfully submitted, L. Gilbert, Rec. Sec.
