MINUTES OF FULTON BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FULTON COUNTRY CLUB
AUGUST 4, 2009




The re-scheduled meeting of the Fulton Country Club Board of Directors was held at the club on Aug. 4, 2009. Present at the meeting were K. Scharader, P. Hamstra, J. Utroska, Arnie Housenga, S. Workman, L. Gilbert and J. Harmon. Absent were D. Doughty and J. Hlubek.

The meeting was called to order by Pres. Arnie Housenga. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as written. The financial report was given by R. Winkel, C.P.A.. The club remains very sound and the report was accepted. Mr. Winkel did inform the Board of the current merger of his business association. His firm is no longer Clifton Gunderson, LLP, it is presently Winkel, Parker and Foster, C.P.A., P.C.. Mr. Winkel confirms that there will be no change in his relationship with Fulton Country Club.

Grounds And Greens

Past month's jobs completed:
   -Applied grub control along with fertilizer on the fairways
   -Added mulch to all of the flower beds
   -Brushed greens 1 time a week then double cut them
   -Applied grub control on the tees and the greens
   -Killed off the prarie flower for seeding in the fall
   -Sprayed the clover and the dandelions
   -Started mowing the rough twice a week
   -Clay will be making 2 new signs for the prarie area

Next month's plans

   -Spray the weeds around the trees
   -Brush and double cut the greens on cooler temperature weeks
   -Add the rest of the sand to the low depth bunkers
   -Add gravel to the cart paths
   -Hanging limbs to be cut
   -Stump removal
   -Dirt
   -Check into verticut reels    

Sports

Results of the Club Championship are:
Chad Ehrhardt - Club Champion
Kyle Workman - Jr. Champion

The club handicap tournament will be held Aug. 15th and 16th. The course will be closed from 8:00AM until Noon, approximately.


New Buisness

The Board is presently reviewing the current "standing rules". There will be some changes made and they will be available to the membership. One of the significant changes that was made is the participation on "ladies" day and "men's" day. The age for participationon those days is 15 (fifteen) years of age. 

The meeting was adjourned, the next scheduled meeting will be Aug. 15, 2009.
